Creating an account is simple. All you have to do is register by selecting an available username and providing a valid password. Your username and password will be emailed to you so you also need to supply a valid email address. As long as you agree to the terms of service and privacy policy then your account will be created.

Once you've registered and logged in you can go to the edit profile page and fill in the form there with your details. Don't worry about having to enter something in every field, the ones you leave blank will not be displayed in your profile. Once you're done you simply click edit profile and you'll be taken to your newly updated profile page. Your user icon is updated on the upload icon page.

On the edit profile page there is a drop down menu that asks who you wish your contact details to be visible to. You can change this setting at any time you want. If you select "everyone" then obviously everyone can see your details, and if you select "just me" then they are only visible to you. If you select "the people on my network" then everyone you have added to your network can see them. If you wish your details to be visible to your network but you're not comfortable with a specific user viewing them then you can also remove them from your network by visiting their profile page.

Once you're logged in go to the upload icon page. Simply click the "browse" button the form and navigate to the image you wish to upload that. Having selected it and submitted the form your image will be uploaded as long as it falls within Linkdom's image rules (User pictures can be JPG, GIF or PNG and no larger than 40KB or 100x100 pixels in size.)

To add a link go to the add a link page and copy (or type) the URL (address. eg: http://www.f1-live.com) into the relevant field on the form. Then simply enter a title so that you know what the link is for, add any comments you'd like to make about the link, assign some fandom tags and select what type of website it is. Adding tags and specifying a type for the website aren't strictly neccessary, but they will help you, and other fans, find the website(s) you're looking for more easily in the future.

To delete a link you need to click on the "edit/delete link" link which is displayed for each and every one of the links you have saved. You will be taken to a page which details the link and as soon as you click delete it will be removed and you will be taken to your links page.

To edit a link you need to click on the "edit/delete link" link which is displayed for each and every one of the links you have saved. You will be taken to a page which details the link and to edit it you just need to change what is being displayed on the form and click edit. You will then be taken to your links page.

To leave a comment about a link click on the "leave comment" link which is displayed with the link. You will then be taken to a page which displays the link along with a form for typing the comment in. As soon as you click "leave a comment" your comment will be posted and you will be taken to the page for the link. When you post a link the user whose link you commented on will be sent a notification email.

To reply to a comment click on the "reply to comment" link which is displayed with the comment. You will be taken to a page which displays the link the original comment was left on, along with the comment you wish to reply to. Beneath the comment is a form for you to type you comment into. Once you click "leave comment" you will be taken to the comment page for the link and an email will be sent to the user whose comment you replied to informing them of the comment. If the user whose comment you replied to is different to the user whose link the comments are being left then the user who added the link will also be emailed a notification.

To edit a comment click on the "edit/delete comment" link which displays with the comment. You will be taken to a page with the comment you wish to edit displayed in a form and to edit it all you have to do is change the content of the form and click edit. Once you've done this you will be taken back to the page for the link the comment was made on. It is possible to edit the comments you make, along with comments that people have made on the links you saved.

To view all of your links simply go to your links page.

Go to your links page and either click on one of the tag links under a link or click on the tag you wish to search your links for in the tag cloud. Once you've done this you will be taken to a page listing the links you've assigned that specific tag to.

Go to your links page. In either the type tag cloud, or under one of the links you've saved, click on the link for the type of website you're looking for. You will be taken to a page which only shows the links you've described as being the type of website you're looking for.

To find other users who are interested in the same things as yourself simply click on any of your interests as listed in your profile. You will then be taken to a page which lists everyone else who has that same thing in their interests list. The list is ordered according to when the users last used the site. The page also displays how many links the user has assigned the same tag as the interest being searched.

To view all of your the links the people on your network have been saving just go to your network page.

On your network page click on any of the fandom tags listed below any of the links. A search will then be run and all of the links that anyone on your network has assigned that searched tag to will be returned.

On your network page click on the type displayed below any of the links. A search will then be run and all of the links that anyone on your network has described as being that type of website will be displayed on screen.

To add someone to your network simply visit their profile and click on the "add user to network" link. You will then be taken to a page which asks you if you're sure. When you click yes the user will be added to your network and you will be taken back to their profile.

To remove someone from your network simply visit their profile and click on the "remove user from network" link. You will then be taken to a page which asks if you're sure. When you click yes the user will be removed from your network and you will be taken back to their profile.

To view a list of everyone you have added to your network visit your account page.

To change the colour scheme you're viewing the site in go to your account page and select a colour scheme from the drop down menu. The colour scheme at the top of the menu is the one you're currently using.

To change your password go to your account page and input your current password along with the one you'd like to change it to. Providing your new password is valid it will be changed when you submit the form and you will be sent an email detailing your new password.

If you've forgotten your password go to the forgotten password page and provide your username and email address. Providing the email address you have supplied is the one which goes with the username you entered then the password will be emailed to that address.

To delete your account go to the account page. Click on the link under the "delete account" heading to be taken to the page for deleting your account. As soon as you click "yes" you account will be deleted and there is no way of undoing this action so please be sure it's what you really want to do before clicking yes.
